Expected price calculator
Work out the share price you need to reach to make the return you are after. Enter how many shares you hold and what they cost you, then state your target - either as a return in per cent or as the gain in rupees you want. One of the two, not both. All figures are in Pakistani rupees (PKR).

How it was worked out
| Working | Amount |
|---|---|
| Number of shares | — |
| Cost per share | — |
| Total cost | — |
| Target gain | — |
| Sale proceeds needed | — |
| Price needed per share | — |
| Return on cost | — |
The working is the profit and loss sum read backwards. The proceeds needed are your total cost plus the gain you are after; the price per share is those proceeds divided by the number of shares. Where you gave a return in per cent, the gain it implies is worked out from your cost and shown above, so you can check it against the figure you had in mind. Where you gave a gain in rupees, the return it implies is shown instead.
The price is rounded up to the nearest paisa, because that is the smallest amount a share price can move by and rounding it down would leave you a fraction short of the target you asked for. Some shares trade in larger steps than a paisa - check the tick size for the one you hold. The figure also leaves out brokerage and commission on both the buying and the selling side, and any tax on the gain; all of those push the price you actually need a little higher, so treat this as the floor rather than the final number. Capital gains tax is worked out on the capital gains calculator, kept separate on purpose.
